MidCo Care is a fast-growing health and social care agency and services provider. We work with local councils, NHS Trusts, as well as private hospitals and care homes, to ensure their staffing needs are met.
We offer agency work opportunities for nurses, HCAs (healthcare assistants), and support workers in and around the Kent, Manchester, and Peterborough areas.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Officer to join our organisation.
The role of the Quality Assurance Officer is to oversee the development, implementation, monitoring and management of quality assurance processes and compliance functions of the Company, ensuring that all services are inspection ready.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role or a supervisory role in the health and care sector. The role requires the candidate to be flexible as they may be required to, on occasion, work from one of our other sites outside Manchester.
Duties and responsibilities
  • · Setting-up and implementing survey processes ensuring that all feedback is acknowledged and actioned where necessary.
  • Assisting and ensuring that growth targets set by senior management are implemented.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legislative, CQC and all local authority requirements, implementing
  • Ensuring that the service meets and surpasses CQC standards and the LA contract specifications
  • Reviewing the assessments undertaken and the individually tailored care plans for new clients, ensuring they support the client’s needs, promote their dignity and reduce identified risks to their wellbeing.
  • Conducting CQC and local authority mock inspections
  • Preparing and delivering detailed reports on the business for the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Ensuring the Company’s quality assurance procedures are adhered to and maintained, through developed quality management systems.
  • Implementing quality assurance compliance inspections.
  • Progressing the strategic priorities of the Company from a quality assurance perspective.
Entry Requirements
  • Relevant compliance industry training certifications
  • Minimum QCF Level 3 in Leadership in Care or studying toward it
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience as a Care Worker with a proven track record of understanding care and compliance.
  • The ability to respond quickly to client requests and adapt to changing workloads.
  • Knowledge of Care Management systems including working as a carer or in carer with service users with Learning Disabilities and/or mental health
  • A commitment to continuous service improvement.
  • Right to work in the UK
