Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a competent, experienced and highly motivated Head of Care Services to oversee, develop, and grow Domiciliary Care and Supported Living services in all regions in which the company operates.

The Head of Care Services will work closely with local authorities and county councils working with the Company, all ICBs and MDTs working with the Company.

Within the company , they will be work closely with Registered Managers, Care Services Coordinator, Regional Care Coordinator, Service Shift Leads, Care Workers and Other Support Staff;

They will report to the Head of Operations, Senior Management and other MidCo Care Managers

They may, on occasion, be required to act as out-of-hours emergency care staff and to assist staff on duty when required, for example, to manage an incident that has arisen.

 

Your role will include:

  • Ensuring that the service meets and surpasses CQC standards and the LA contract specification.
  • Oversight of all assessments carried out in the services as well as individually tailored care plans for new clients, ensuring they support the client’s needs, promote their dignity and reduce identified risks to their well-being.
  • Supporting all Registered Managers in their roles, ensuring that they meet their quarterly and yearly objectives.
  • Planning and progressing the strategic priorities of the Company.
  • Working with senior management to achieve growth and development of the business and meeting targets within budget.
  • Having budgetary responsibility and effectively managing and allocating financial resources for all services, including arranging payment of bills, keeping accounts and adhering to statutory requirements.
  • Determining staffing, material and other short- and long-term requirements for all services, including working with HR on recruitment solutions.s.
  • Ensuring the provision of care and the allocation of carers meets the needs of the service users.
  • Maintain contact between service users and the local community and/or family and friends at a strategic level, including managing general company communications in relation to care to all interested parties.
  • Overseeing monthly staff meetings.
  • Overseeing staff appraisals and reviews, ensuring standards of care are being met, setting objectives for improvement in line with company and CQC standards.
  • Liaising with  other senior management in implementing company policy and procedure
  • Ensuring the services are fully compliant with DoLS legislation and the Mental Capacity Act.
  • Maintaining a high standard of care consistent with the requirements set forth by CQC, local authorities and the Company

 

Entry Requirements

  •  Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager with a proven track record of CQC inspections rating Good to Outstanding (desirable)
  • Registered with CQC as a Registered Manager (mandatory)
  • Relevant compliance industry training certifications(mandatory)
  • Proven track record of managing multiple services in Supported Living, Home and/or Community Care (mandatory)
