MidCo Care Limited provides Home Care and Supported Living Services to adults. We work in partnership with the local authorities to provide the highest quality of care to adults who live in our services or in their own homes.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Officer to join our organisation and to provide technical support, advice and guidance for internal / external users of IT systems and applications, either directly or by telephone, e-mail or other network interaction.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role. The role requires the candidate to be flexible as they may be required to, on occasion, work from one of our other sites in London, Peterborough or Hertfordshire.
Duties and Responsibilities

Providing technical support to IT users across multiple sites;

Advising users on how to resolve hardware and software problems;

Installing and upgrades hardware, cables, operating systems and/or appropriate software;

Facilitating user access to systems;
-
Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers;

Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware;
-
Managing technical documentation;
-
Installing workstations and other equipment like printers;
-
Installing network cabling and other network equipment like routers and switches;
-
Connecting all workstations to the network and relevant servers;

Providing staff with technical support and training;

Configuring routers and switches
Requirements
-
Relevant industry training certifications.

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in computer science or related field

Minimum of 1 year’s experience as an Ia similar role;

The ability to respond quickly to client requests and adapt to changing workloads.

Knowledge of Care Management systems including working as a carer or in carer with service users with Learning Disabilities and/or mental health

A commitment to continuous service improvement.
